These Tonbo Glass beads made by the artist Takashi are Osaka domestic craft. Glass rods are melted with flames using high skill to make beautiful Tonbo beads with many layers. The method of firing is called burner work and lamp work. Venetian glass beads are made in the same way.

Handicrafts

Since these beads are handmade, the patterns and sizes are unique. Most metal parts used are from Kiwa Seisakujo and Parts Club, major jewelry material suppliers in Japan.
